NKG PACE Dates Delayed Due to COVID-19

When we first imagined creating a training program back in June 2020, the proposed January 2022 start date seemed incredibly far away. Even as we settled the defining details of what became NKG PACE, our mention of the start time being contingent upon global health allowances was made from an abundance of caution and not a real expectation.

But of course, beyond everyone’s imagination, COVID-19 is still not yet behind us, and the months ahead remain unclear. Because of this — out of concern for the health of our teams, as well as for the Partners we’ll be welcoming into our offices — we’ve decided to move the application deadline to Nov. 30 and the program start date to May 2. We hope this adjustment will be sufficient, but we’re no longer so naïve as to feel certain. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and communicate where things stand.

There are many ways that we can adapt lab responsibilities and learnings to be safe during these times. The sensory nature of this work, though, makes it tricky to also share such learnings while being Covid-safe. And more than simply share our knowledge, we hope to offer learning experiences that are efficient, effective and enjoyable. Quality labs are the gathering places in each office, where teams come together with excitement and curiosity to learn and engage. That collective delight is a big part of the green-coffee experience we want to share with the NKG PACE Partners. Which, unfortunately, means waiting a bit longer to get started.
